Several factors that cause the focus position error during the laser cutting machine's cutting process?
In the laser cutting process, there are many factors that will cause the relative position of the focus and the surface of the processed object to change, such as unevenness on the surface of the processed workpiece, the clamping method of the workpiece, the geometric error of the machine tool, The deformation of the machine tool under the action of the load force and the thermal deformation of the workpiece during the machining process will cause the laser focus position to deviate from the ideal given position (programmed position). Some errors (such as the geometric errors of machine tools) are regular and can be compensated by quantitative compensation, but some errors are random errors and can only be eliminated by online detection and control. These errors are:
1. Workpiece geometric errorThe object of laser cutting is a sheet or cover. Due to various reasons, the surface of the processed object is not flat, and the influence of the thermal effect during the cutting process will also cause the surface deformation of the thin plate part. For laser processing, the cover will also have surface irregularities during the stamping and forming process, which will cause random changes in the position and ideal position of the laser focus and the surface of the processed object.
2. Error caused by workpiece clamping deviceThe workpiece processed by laser cutting is placed on the needle table. Due to machining errors, long-term wear between the workpieces and laser burns, scratches on the needle bed will appear. This non-uniformity will also produce random errors between the thin steel plate and the laser focus.
3. Errors caused by programmingDuring the laser cutting process, the processing trajectory on the complex curved surface is fitted with straight lines and arcs. There is a certain error between these fitting curves and the actual curve, so that there is a certain error between the relative position of the actual focus and the surface of the processed object and the ideal programming position. However, some instructional programming systems also introduce some deviations.

For fast cutting, the accuracy and rapidity of focus position detection will directly affect the accuracy and processing quality of focus position control. Capacitance sensors have the advantages of high detection sensitivity and fast response, and their nonlinearity can be overcome by linearization of the computer system.
