Because the laser cutting machine uses water as the cooling medium, the operating environment temperature of the machine tool should be above 5℃. If there is no heating in the workshop in winter and the ambient temperature is lower than 5℃, anti-freezing measures will help your equipment to avoid damage to accessories to the greatest extent, but if you want to ensure that the equipment is not damaged, please ensure that the ambient temperature reaches the standard specified in the equipment manual (15°C to 35°C).

Basic Principles

Liquid has a 'freezing point'The pipes and sealing connections of the water cooling system caused damage. In order to avoid damage to the laser, output head, and water chiller caused by the solidification of the cooling liquid, the specific anti-freezing measures are as follows:

Temperature

1. It is best to install air-conditioning or other heating equipment at the equipment operation site so that the ambient temperature can be kept at 20 degrees Celsius. If there is absolutely no power outage in the local area, do not turn off the water chiller at night, and at the same time, to save energy, adjust the low and normal temperature water temperature to 5~10℃ to ensure that the cooling water is in a circulating state and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.

2. Although temperature does not have a great influence on the laser cutting machine, because many users will add butter to the screw, they will definitely forget to clean it in winter, which will cause it to not move every time it is turned on. Just like the winter in the north is very cold, the temperature in the studio will be very low, even if the machine is oiled, the machine will still not be able to move. At this time, we must ensure that the temperature in the working room reaches the minimum temperature of the refueling standard.

Cooling water

1. For the continuous operation of cold water refrigerators, when the water body is flowing, it will generally not freeze.

2. Since the cooling water needs to be replaced regularly in summer to avoid exceeding the specified temperature, many users will ignore this in the cold winter and think that the water temperature will not increase much in cold weather. Therefore, many users often forget to change the water, especially in winter, because the outside temperature is very low, it is difficult to feel the spindle motor heating. Therefore, we especially remind users that cooling water is a necessary condition for the normal operation of the spindle motor. If the cooling water is too dirty, it will cause serious damage to the motor. Ensure that the cooling water is clean and the water pump works normally.

3. If the light laser equipment is not used for a long time or in the case of power failure, the water in the cold water tank, filter and pipeline must be drained.

Note: All cooling water in the laser, cutting head, lens, and water cooler must be drained cleanly to effectively protect the entire set of water cooling pipelines and related components!

Antifreeze

1. Use ethanol as short-term antifreeze:

If the power fails and the cooling water cannot be drained, temporary short-term antifreeze is required. You can add ethanol (alcohol) to the deionized or purified water. The addition amount should not exceed 40% of the water tank volume, because of the corrosiveness of ethanol It is very strong. It is corrosive to grease, paint and rubber parts, and also corrosive to metals. Therefore, it cannot be used for a long time. It must be emptied within a week and cleaned with pure water or deionized water. If there are still antifreeze requirements, special antifreeze must be selected.

2. Use the special antifreeze of a professional brand:

There are two models of antifreeze suitable for laser systems:

①Glycol-water type (industrial products, toxic to the human body)

②Propylene glycol-water type (food grade, harmless to human body)

Note: Any antifreeze can not completely replace deionized water, and cannot be used for a long time throughout the year. After winter, the pipeline must be cleaned with deionized water or purified water, and deionized water or purified water must be used as the coolant.

If possible, we still recommend to improve the electricity environment and keep the water cooler from shutting down.

Carbon dioxide laser cutting machine

Basic Principles

When the CO2 laser tube freezes in winter, if the water in the laser tube is not drained, it will cause the cooling layer of the laser tube to freeze and expand, and the laser cooling layer will burst. As a result, the laser tube cannot work normally. The freezing and cracking of the cooling layer of the laser tube is not within the scope of replacement. In order to avoid unnecessary losses, please take the following anti-freezing measures:

1. Cut off all power to the equipment

2. Unplug the water pipe at the water outlet of the laser machine, and drain the water pipe inside the machine and the water in the laser pipe.

3. Use air (air pressure less than 0.4MP) to connect to the water inlet of the laser machine to thoroughly clean the internal pipes of the laser machine and the water in the laser tube.

4. Remove the chiller or water pump and place it in a high-temperature room to prevent the water circulation equipment from freezing, causing unnecessary trouble for you due to damage to the chiller and water pump parts; or the chiller or Drain the water in the pump thoroughly.

5. But if you want to ensure that the equipment is not damaged, you must also ensure that the ambient temperature reaches the standard specified in the equipment manual (15°C to 35°C).

Note: It is best not to add antifreeze in the carbon dioxide laser tube. The antifreeze will affect the quality of the light, affect the heat dissipation, the heat dissipation is not good, and the power and service life may be affected
