With the gradual popularity of laser cutting machines, many companies are using laser cutting equipment. When using cutting equipment, they will more or less encounter various problems, especially for beginners who are new to the production line. In other words, they will encounter trouble when they encounter poor cutting quality. Faced with many parameters, I don't know how to adjust them. The following is a brief introduction to the problems encountered and the solutions.
The parameters that affect the cutting quality are: cutting height, cutting nozzle model, focus position, cutting power, cutting frequency, cutting duty cycle, cutting pressure and cutting speed. The hardware conditions include: protective lens, gas purity, paper quality, focusing lens and collimating lens.
If the cutting quality is poor, it is recommended to perform a general inspection first. The main inspection content and the general inspection sequence are:
1 Cutting height (It is recommended that the actual cutting height is between 0.8 and 1.2mm). If the actual cutting height is not accurate, calibration is required.
2Cut the nozzle to check if the nozzle type and size are wrong. If you check whether the cutting nozzle is damaged or not, the roundness is normal.
3 It is recommended that the optical center use a torch with a diameter of 1.0 for optical inspection. When checking the optical center, the focal point is preferably between -1 and -1. The resulting light spot is small and easy to observe.
4 Protect the lens. Check whether the protective lens is clean, free from oil and residue. Sometimes due to the weather or the air is too cold, the lens will be fogged.
5 Focus on checking whether the focus is set correctly. If it is an autofocus cutting head, be sure to use the mobile app to check whether the focus is correct.
6 Modify cutting parameters
After checking the above five items and there is no problem, modify the parameters according to the phenomenon.
How to adjust the parameters according to the phenomenon, the following briefly introduces the conditions and solutions encountered when cutting stainless steel and carbon steel.
For example, stainless steel slag has many types of slag. For example, it can be considered that only the corner slag goes around the corner first, and the parameter can reduce the focus and increase the pressure.
If the whole scum is hanging, you must reduce the focus, increase the air pressure, and increase the cutting tip, but the focus is too low or the air pressure is too high, resulting in delamination and rough surfaces. If the granular soft residue is suspended as a whole, the cutting speed or cutting ability can be appropriately increased.
Cutting stainless steel may also encounter: the slag at the end of the cutting, you can check whether the air supply flow can not keep up.
Cutting carbon steel usually encounters problems such as insufficient thin sections of thin plates and rough parts of thick plates.
Generally speaking, a 1000W laser can cut carbon steel with no more than 4mm light. 2000W is 6mm and 3000W is 8mm.
If you want to reduce the brightness of some parts, first the surface is good, no rust, no paint, no scale. Second, the oxygen purity is at least 99.5% higher. The following points should be paid attention to when cutting: 1.0 or 1.2 small cutting nozzle, the cutting speed is greater than 2 m/min, and the cutting pressure should not be too high.
If you want the quality of the cut part of the thick plate, you must first ensure the purity of the plate and gas. Second, choose the cutting nozzle. The larger the hole diameter, the better the quality of the section, but the greater the taper of the section.
