How to prevent freezing of fiber laser cutting machine?

Recently, the temperature in many parts of the country has dropped sharply, and people have to add clothes, and fiber lasers should also pay attention to anti-freezing, otherwise they are easily damaged. Especially in an extremely cold climate, the optical part of the fiber laser will form damage that is difficult to repair. Therefore, before the cold wave hits, the editor shared this winter antifreeze guide for fiber lasers, which must be collected!

The basic principle and method of antifreeze: liquid has a 'freezing pointLarge, this will 'broke' the pipes and sealing connections of the water cooling system and cause damage.

In order to avoid damage to the fiber laser, output head, and water chiller caused by the solidification of the cooling liquid, there are three solutions:

Option 1: Do not turn off the water chiller at night

When there is absolutely no power outage, the water cooler is not turned off at night. At the same time, to save energy, the temperature of low and normal temperature water is adjusted to 5 ~ 10℃ to ensure that the coolant is in a circulating state and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.

Option 2: Drain the cooling liquid

Drain the cooling liquid in the laser, laser output head, and water cooler after daily use. Specific cooling water emptying method and pipeline designer

Close the red marked valve, open the yellow marked valve, and pass in clean compressed air or nitrogen not higher than 0.4Mpa (within 4 kg) until it is discharged. No water blows out from the nozzle. Finally, open the drain of the water cooler to empty the remaining water in the final water tank.

It should be noted that all cooling water in the fiber laser, laser output head, processing head and water cooler must be drained cleanly to effectively protect the entire set of water cooling pipelines and related components!

Scheme 3: Use antifreeze as the coolant

When the use environment is often power cut and does not have the conditions for the daily coolant to be drained, antifreeze must be used. The basic liquid of antifreeze is generally composed of alcohol and water, which requires high boiling point and flash point, high specific heat and conductivity, low low-temperature viscosity, not easy to foam, and does not corrode metal parts, rubber hoses, etc. When selecting or deploying antifreeze, its freezing point should be 5°C lower than the lowest temperature of the environment in which it is used.

The choice of antifreeze

1. Use the special antifreeze of professional brand instead of ethanol.

2. If a professional brand is not convenient to buy, you can also buy a large bottle of car antifreeze without adding water at a regular gas station or regular supply store nearby, and use it directly in the fiber laser water cooling system.

Any antifreeze liquid cannot completely replace deionized water and cannot be used for a long time throughout the year. After winter, the pipeline must be cleaned with deionized water or purified water, and deionized water or purified water must be used as the coolant.
